It’s all about the shot!

yesterday was the very first day that I got a genuine hands on experience shooting with Brynn as well as her amazing professional photographer Evan! This wasn’t the very first shoot I’ve been to, however it was the very first time I got to experience the entire process. I realized exactly how important it was for me to really have this hands on experience, not only in terms of being an intern, however a student. It’s one thing to see as well as totally different to really do.

Now that I have spent more time interning with Brynn as well as getting to understand the bags, I felt like I understood more of what I was doing. this time around around I truly comprehend exactly how much every little detail counts.

I discovered that product shoots are likewise so different from any type of other type of shoot for a number of reasons:

Everything has to be super organized 

Not just during the shoot, however before. Bag prep started before we even got to the studio location. Making sure we have every bag in every color is prepared with all of its necessary parts, then adjusting the strap lengths so we aren’t rushing to do it on site. It’s so important to keep track of whatever you requirement to bring! right when we were car parking at the studio, we realized we failed to remember the mannequin all the method on the other side of the city. since not all the samples were prepared on time, we are doing autumn in two shoots. Wheww, so we’ll plan the mannequin shots for next time.

Details matter!

Once the bags are organized, each one is individually photographed. however it’s not just the front shot, however the back side as well as inside, which can mean different camera positions as well as set-up.  So there was never a “one as well as done” shot for any type of bag. Primping as well as prepping has never be more real.

Really look close

Brynn pays interest to every single detail of each bags photo. during the very first shoot, I believed that every picture taken of the bags were perfect, however since then I have realized that it’s super important to pay interest to every detail of the photo. She notices things that even Evan as well as I were not conscious of up until she directed it out. 

It’s amazing exactly how leather photographs. Every slight fold in the leather can produce strong shadows. as well as let me tell you, even the little modifications made the biggest of difference.

After yesterday, I can officially state that I can see exactly how much that I have discovered as well as taken from interning with Brynn. whatever I discover in office is definitely exemplified when doing things like this. Now, when I go into studio classes I understand that I will be able to utilize what I learned  from this weekend’s shoot as well as from Brynn in order to make my pictures better.
